Is it possible to make an Onward Campaign Game in D&D 3.5?

Yes.

What about it are you looking to replicate?

The whole movie but It deserved to represent the homage of D&D 3.5.

I watched Onward twice last weekend, so I can see the appeal. :smalltongue:

That said, I feel like 3.5 isn't the best system to represent the baseline world (or at least what we see of New Mushroomington), since 3.5 assumes a relatively high-magic environment, and that's the complete opposite of Onward's current culture.

I don't know much about D20 Modern, but that might be something to consider in this case.

I agree that crunchy, tactical D&D 3.5 isn't the best rules system to represent the movie. It's more and cinematic and character-driven, which IMO makes it a better fit for a system like FATE, 2d20, or PbtA. It does have a lot of D&D references, though.

What's 2d20 and PbtA?
