So earlier I posted about the player with reach and a situation that came up. Well I've got another one that we completely disagree on.

So we use the critical fumble deck and critical deck. He rolled a fumble and got the Fog of War card, where he threatens no squares for 1d6 rounds (he ended up with 5 rounds) Does this count for all attacks or only attacks of opportunity?

Threatening really only applies to two things, determining flanking and attacks of opportunity. If the player's character threatens no squares, then both of those are out but nothing else is. Although by readying an action, it's possible to sort of get back an AoO. And there's probably a spell or ability somewhere that would let the character continue to help flank.

Threatening is (normally) a result of being able to make a melee attack into a square, not the other way around. Most notably, characters don't threaten with unarmed strikes unless they have Improved Unarmed Strike, but they can still make unarmed strikes as regular attacks.
