Hello All, And that you for the answers ahead of time.

In my head, I have this floating around that flying creatures in Pathfinder 1 are immune to the trip. And if they are "knocked Prone" they have to make a Fly check of 15 (hover check) or fall.

But for the life of me, I cannot find any rules on anything concerning flying creatures.

I would love y'alls opinion or resources on this.

Danke!

Under the trip rules:

Some creatures—such as oozes, creatures without legs, and flying creatures—cannot be tripped.

Perfect. I remembered that correctly.

What about Prone?

1) If you really want to trip fliers, the Ace Trip (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/weapon-mastery-feats/ace-trip-targeting-weapon-mastery/) feat allows this.

2) Another way is to stop their movement entirely, such as by paralyzing them (e.g. with poison). This causes them to automatically fail Fly checks, causing them to fall. This can even stop magical flight (https://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fm#v5748eaic9u63) which isn't purely mental in PF.

"Prone - The character is lying on the ground."

Seems straightforward to me - if you somehow make a flier Prone, it's no longer airborne.

Alternately, if a character tries to fall prone and misses, he is now flying.
