Can werewolf bile be harvested to inflict the curse of lycanthropy on enemies in combat?


Curse of Lycanthropy (Su)
Any humanoid or giant hit by a werewolf’s bite attack in animal or hybrid form must succeed on a DC 15 Fortitude save or contract lycanthropy.

I don't think I've ever heard mention of anyone trying this.

a strict rules lawyer might argue it says bite attack so anything not a bite attack is invalid. something like storing saliva in glass vials and throwing them is clever but I'd say not effective. I would say it has to be injected like venom so coating a weapon/arrow is at least worth considering.

I would say no, just because lycanthropy is, as said, a "curse," and not a poison/disease. It's not the injected saliva/venom/whatever from the bite, it's the bite itself inflicting the curse.
