so i was browsing some magic items and a few caught my eye. i was hoping to get some help with the item creation rules to combine and modify them, cause i don't understand them very well. the items are:
1. the MoF bag of boulders (300gp each) &
2. the HoB self-launching stone (500gp each)
i would like to combine them so that i have a bag of pebbles that launch themselves and turn into boulders mid filght.
i would also like to make it an unlimited item. i'm thinking of something like the WC3 blood mage with his floating orbs that he launched at his enemies.
so i divide both prices by 50 (for 6gp & 10gp) then multiply by 2000 (for 12000gp and 20000gp) divide boulder by 2 (6000gp) then multiply by 1.5 (9000gp) and multiply 20000 by 4 (80000gp) then add for 89000gp.
that seem a bit much for 3d6 dmg per round. your thoughts?
also if i want to make it adamantine at +100gp/lb for a 30lb stone would be 3000gp multipled by 50 stones for 150000gp yes?
and making it starburst (+2) would just be the cost of a +3 weapon (18000gp)?
all for a whopping 257000gp :smallannoyed:
is this correct? what do you guys think about the cost?
