In my post about golems it was stated that they are covered in runes and I'm assuming that some of those runes, or most actually, give it it's immunities to magic with the exception of a few spells each. Is there a class that works in a similar fashion? Like having tattoos or runes inscribed on you to give you powers/immunities?

XPH has a system of psionic tattoos, and I believe Mind’s Eye expanded on it. It’s the psionic equivalent to potions, where you can use up the tattoo to manifest something, while Mind’s Eye provided a system to create a sort of wiring based on it. Of course, there’s also the Runes from Dragon Compendium which are pretty flavorful. Just be warned, lots of DMs don’t allow that book because it draws too heavily from Dragon Magazine.

Definitely have to look into that. Sounds exactly what I'm looking for.
I had a dream a long time ago that I had a bunch of tattoos on me and I could touch them and they would summon whatever was depicted. Was pretty crazy. Wish I could remember more than just that. Could've been useful :)
Thanks for the info!

There it is: "The Art of Mastering Psionic Tattoos" (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20031225a)

For classes...
Tattooed Monk

The PrC Spellcarved Soldier (Eberron) allows a Warforged to gain certain abilities from the PrC, represented by runes on their body. I'd still use Runescarred Berserker (because it's more mechanically viable), but Spellcarved Soldier might fit the fluff more.

That was exactly what I was referencing. My Google-Fu is rusty.

Pathfinder has "Magical Tattoos" (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/item-creation-feats/inscribe-magical-tattoo-item-creation/) which are a special class of magic item that any class can use. As the name implies, these items are tattooed onto your body, and can occupy various body slots without interfering with other items you already have in those slots.

These tattoos can do things like make your next spell cast be automatically still/silent, "suspend" some spells (including summons!) so that their duration is paused until you choose to resume them, function as a scroll of any spell, hide weapons in your skin, and automatically protect the wearer from sunlight, among other things.

There are also the Tattooed Sorcerer archetype and the Tattooed Mystic prestige class if you want to have even more tattoo-related abilities in your build.
