Welcome to Avatar Battle Royale V:
Salmon and his Lackeys

Rules by Bloddyredcommy
Rules of ABR (up for confirmation), some of which are based off the rules of improv
Rule 1: never act incautiously when confronted by a smiling old man with a broom
Rule 2: Don't talk about ABR
Rule 3: Commie can only make 3 joke rules.
Rule 4: Don't Deny, if somebody does somthing not breaking the other rules you can't just ignore that it happened.
Rule 5: Don't godmod others, It's okay to have somebody else say things, but don't have them make any big decisions.
Rule 6: NO SHOWBOATING! in Improv every member is trying to make the rest of the ensamble look good, not to try to make themselves look good. You can still do awsome things, but don't completally overshadow everybody else.
Rule 7: Build Up, if your going to change the plot in a major way, Don't do it all in one post, start it, making it clear what your trying to acheive, if other people want to stop it they can and we dont have to vote your post non-canon.
Rule 8: Nothing is canon if it is not in a comic, we don't know the backstory youve cooked up, don't post a comic, then when somebody stops it say "That wouldn't work because of XYZ" unless your previously stated XY and Z.
Rule 9: Don't finish lethal or incrediably dehabilitating attacks against other PC's, start them and give the other person a chance to react, its not "I cut your head off", its "I try to cut your head off", it's up to them whether or not you succeed.
Rule 10: accept weakness, we are not all superman, we are not all invincible, its no fun if nobody loses anything.
Rule 11: Get over yourself, there are other people in this plot to, so don't plan more then one post ahead and then get mad when people don't feel like going with what you want them to do, I don't care how awsome it seems.
Amendments can be allowed, rules can be changed according to votes, ect.

well. Is anyone else planning on doing the "Boomwolf/kushu (the rebel plotgoblin) battle" or will I? (boomwolf is a plotgoblin hunter. so he WILL attempt to kill kushu, until he gets the fact he is a rebel at least.)

Mechafox, you forgot to add the small strip where the guy gets killed by the headcrabs (censored panel)...it is before he gets to infirmiary and changes his appearence, and after he soultraps the big headcrab.

I had trouble with Forrestfire's comics. Each of his panels was a different image, so it was difficult to put them together. I'm not surprised I made a mistake.

Since the threads get through so fast, I propose to start an episode thread. For example: ABR 5, Episode1...the next one will be ABR 5, episode 2...and after that, episode 3. This way, we wont have to vote new names so often, or do new banners, or trailers that often...what do you guys think?

Actually, I use Illustrator. I had a copy of it lying around for some reason. I'm not sure how hard it is compared to Inkscape.

In an artsy kinda way, that's pretty cool. I don't think Inkscape is capable of the same kind of blurring in frame 3, at least not precisely

EDIT2: Kheal is the friend I mentioned. I hope he doesn't mind me temporarily inserting him. I phoned him (We've been friends since before I (And probably him) had ever used the internet) and he should at least post a complaint about how badly he's drawn.

You've just earned a smack at our next D&D session. You could've at least made the glow around the scythe red, but hey, it's probably better than anything I could do.

Actually that blur is quite bad, it hurts my eyes to look at it. (really. it stings.)

Next time try to do a matrix effect (75% alpha, 50% alpha and 25% alpha copies of the character on after another) or using "falling lines", the blur hurts the eyes.Not a bad idea. I didn't like the blur too much either, but I didn't have any other ideas at the time. But, I wouldn't go so far as "hurts my eyes". That bad?

there is no "rules" for making templates. every one makes another type.

I for exsample break the body to mulitiple parts then mix and match them in comics (on me i have the body, the sword, the boots, the fireball, several sets of eyes and mouths.)

The rule is, if you cant make the template by yourself, you should train more before you start posting anything cannon.

Really? I just used three lines for the blade, a seperate one for the hilt and the three for the handle. But, to be honest I got lucky, I just experimented with the blade until it came out right.:smalltongue:

Alphantica
Originally a desolate desert plain not unlike the nearby Harshrealm Desert, Alphantica was used extensively as a testing site for new magical technologies during the Age of Dragons. As a result, the local climate was irrevocably altered into a freezing tundra almost as desolate as before, and was abandoned by most humanoid races. What remained eventually mutated into the Homo Guinus species of anthropomorphic penguin, and a number of indigenous penguins became capable of higher thought.
A chilly place by nature, but the company is good, and the population has a high percentage of magic-users.

Citadel of Bis Anu
Built by the Erenatl and Grisgol to honour their god Bis Anu, the citadel (Now lost, though recent sightings purport otherwise) was the site of a major battle between it's inhabitants and the Order of Vengeance (See above), and has lain buried for centuries afterwards. Recent activity in the region suggests it may have been located, but no official announcement has been made.

Carbris Jungle
This large island is largely covered in dense jungle, inhabited primarily by the barbaric Treetop Kobolds. Their more-civilised cousins, the Plains Kobolds, inhabit the sparse patches of open ground, to avoid the fickle malevolence of their tree-dwelling relatives.

Elwind Mountains
Home to Dwarves and subterranean Elves (Including Drow and Moonelves), this large mountain range is over 450 miles long. Whilst the Dwarves and Drow are constantly arguing beneath the rock surface, the Moonelves occupy plateaus along the faces of the mountains, where their summer resorts are famed.

Fortress of Vengeance
Founded eight centuries ago by the Order of Vengeance, this lovely stronghold has wonderful views of the ocean and the Elwind mountains, though word has it that the Order has long since died.
The order was founded to combat the increasing population of Grisgol and Erenatl in the nearby Softwind Desert, though they enjoyed many other exploits in their quests.
Sadly, it seems that the Fortress exploded recently, leaving little more than rubble.

Fudge Land
The unfortunately-named Fudge Land was the center of the Moonelf Empire, led by Sildyu and her dragon army millennia ago. Since her demise, it has fallen into ruin and the population is largely monstrous. A small humanoid enclave still exists in the former capital of Stradville.

Golden Forests
This expansive forest group is home to noble the High Elves, who rarely enjoy company.

Grand Tusk plains
Home to the Orc races, the Grand Tusk plains stretch on for hundreds of miles of hilly grassland. It is not a recommended travel destination.

Harshrealm Desert
The largest of the land's two deserts, Harshrealm was named after the first Human to circumnavigate it, Lional Harshrealm. It has a thriving population of Medusae and Gorgons, and is considered a No Man's Land by many travellers

Mesa Canyon
The deepest canyon in the world, few have ever managed to reach the bottom and survive to return to the top.

Pericle Island
A prominent fishing island, Pericle Island is home to Blauport City, a city world-famous for it's tourism and low crime levels. Founded by a member of the now-defunct Order of the Open Palm, her lineage continues to protect the city to this day.

Pixel Islands
The primary population of the small Pixel island chain is comprised of Sprites, especially Pixies, and is said to be a Willy Wonka-esque dazzling place. However, the Sprites endure repetitive civil wars, typically about some minor detail of the landscape or their own culture and its evolution, so the borders have been closed for decades.

Plotgoblin Peninsula
Not many people visit this area, as it is tightly controlled by the indigenous goblinoid population. Those who do manage to get past the borders and back compare it to staff break rooms.

Salmonville
The island home of the odd Flying Landfish, Salmonville (Also known as "The Boot") is known for it's primary export of environmentalist extremists, who object strongly to the fishing of the world's oceans. That, and Not-so-flying Landfish Sushi.

Schizotec Province
This island is inhabited by humans, like it's neighbour, Pericle Island, however the people here are an entirely different sort. They admire the colour red, have an extreme sense of nationality, and believe politically that all men are equal. Because of their nationalism, their borders are almost universally closed, save a few choice entryways where one can access the country, albeit with a full armed guard. The Schizotecians are known to have highly advanced technologies in comparison to other lands, often reminiscent of ancient Tajiran devices.

Softwind Desert
The Western sister to Harshrealm Desert, Softwind is, as it's name implies, far kinder to travelers than Harshrealm. It's monster population is far lower, though rumours of Erenatl and Grisgol living beneath the surface persist since the construction of the now-lost Citadel of Bis Anu. If you don't mind getting sand in...everywhere, building a summer home in Softwind Desert isn't so bad an idea, provided you bring the proper Clerics.

Tajira
Home to the vastly devastated Pikalite people, Tajira has closed its borders to most civilised races, and remains shrouded in mystery since their near-annihilation during the Age of Dragons.

Ainileh - This small coastal country has been at infrequent war with Helina for centuries, even during the Age of Dragons. It is headed by a fascist government supposedly lead by a demigod. Due to this fascism, little is known about the specific details within this country.

Helina - a large, volcanic desert in the far west that is the source of many choatic creations.
While the lands of Helina have no central seats of power, the many warlords and sorcerers around often ally to fight outsiders, usually as raiders.
The technology of Helina is incredibly advanced, they have technological advancement in warfare beyond virtually any other nation, whilst being equal in advancement to "real world" of Earth. However, they have taken other, weird paths, leading to a lack of gunpowder weaponry and combustion engines. Instead they compensate with tesla coils, disc shooters, jetpacks, even goggles that let you predict enemy movements and other advanced combat technology.
Helina was never conquered by the Empire, it was deemed too difficult to be worth, but many Helinan warlords and sorcerers joined up with the Moon Elf Empire, in order to gather, pillage, and generally have "fun in fighting."
Naturally, the Helinan ranks in the Moon Elf army were not uniform, and had very different machines and weapons from squad to squad, as a direct result of their mercenary employment. and some helinan where fighting versus the Moon Elf Empire, again as a result of mercenary activity.

Herea - Herea submitted absolutely and completely to the Moon Elf Empire, and gave them full support. However, as a small nation, they had little to give the empire, they could barely produce enough food to support themselves. As such, Herea was subject to extreme agricultural expansion during the Age of Dragons, covering much of the fertile land with farms. This left the island relatively peaceful within the Empire, to the point that they aren't even aware it has collapsed. However, the growth in foods attracted the creatures that now inhabit the outlying area of Regen. In defense of Herea, is the Order of the Cloaked Flame, a group of xenophobic paladins headed by a Grand Maester priest. Presently, this priest is Sierra Marshall, a clergywoman of Plotus who is said to channel his divine might in defense of all external threats.

Lockutas - One of the short list of nations to stand in opposition to the Moon Elf Empire and survive, Lockutas paid the price for its insolence once it was conquered by attrition. Much of the technology in Lockutas is steam-powered, and they were defeated by the Empire freezing all the water sources in the nation, thus starving them of fuel. This has had a profound effect on the local climate to date, much of the land is still a harsh winterland. Legends of ancient relics from Lockutas' glory days haunt the lips of it's citizens, who yearn for the time when the country was a viable power in politics.

Merinas - A place subjected harshly to necromantic experimentation during the days of the Moon Elf Empire under the supervision of Grand Lieutenant Vex the Malign, it has since fallen largely into ruin save sparse necropoli. Merinas was one of the first countries to fall to the Empire and was gifted to Lieutenant Vex for his part in the Empire's expansion.

Regen - Outside the relatively peaceful land of Herea lies the forsaken Regen. So named for it's massive population of regenerative beasts, such as Hydras, Trolls, and the dreaded Tarrasque that sleeps underground off the coast, Regen is a dense marshland that was left untouched by the agricultural development of Herea. Whilst much of the inhabitants are mindless or tribal, the primary power in Regen is a sentient 12-headed pyrohydra warlord named Polymus, who demands the obedience of his peers by intimidation and brute strength.

Much of the North-West region was left a mystery after the fall, when the destruction of the Dragon Palace erased many of the world maps. Inhabitants seem to have their own sense of direction for the region, but outsiders have little idea what goes on "up west".

No, the scythe, if broken, would stop break death as well. Dieing people would just spend the rest of eternity in pain. Or at least until the scythe was fixed. And what about Npc's?

Also, they think your preocupation with mortal affairs is interfering with your duties. A Death can reallyonly have one avatar* (And you don't have any, so that's a moot point) doing non-filing, and that is one that's proxied itself down to a rank 1 (Weakest god in existance). You where a test case to see if non-dieties could handle the responsibility. I wish you'd stop forcing me to reveal plot points before the story arc ever happened (This is the NEXT story arc. After all the keys are found and the world is saved/taken over)

The whole point of ABR is for people to add their own commics into the sotry line, not to put it all in writing form, if you had an idea that the scyth was linked to death, and I just broke it, then your next comic might be you explaing what I've done in comic form, not just getting angry because I didn't fit into your story line. The whole point of this is that everyone adds bits on to it, not just one persion writing/ drawing the whole thing and everyone else haveing to follow it.

You had a good idea but you have to make it fit in with what was going on, for example I was supposed to be with madmask and mr. pixie (and apparently not threeshades) stopping Archey, What you could of have done to make it fit in, is pop in while I was talking to MadMask.

If you are trying to copy from one document and paste into another, FireDrake, it's not possible. What you need to do is import the whole document that the thing you want to copy is from and then delete what you don't want.

Oh, I thought I'd give you some info on the funeral. Someone else should draw it, I need a bit of a break. Inside the hat (which is another portal to the plane Mechafox's hat accesses) A black trenchcoat is stuck at the top. Inside is a note which reads:Should I die, I wish to be placed on a stone slab for a day, at the end of which my funeral should be held. I'd like to be buried in this trenchcoat along with my hat. Keep the lightsaber handy. Sincerely, The Great Squark. Last panel of the funeral shouldhave a blank white panel with a voice saying, "Well this is a new experience."

No. Just the citadel. Everyone else is in a new citadel, besides team salmon. The void is just emptyness. Its my hat that's like mechafox's.

Also, I'm sorry, but I just tried to emphasize my temporary god-powers as such. I also percieved the jovacian missiles and uber-wall of force as overpowering, so thought I'd get rid of them. If you like, the new citadel could somehow be a copy.

The Citadel's shield and missiles aren't too powerful.

The shield can be repaired if destroyed, granted, but Disintegrate still makes a big enough hole for people to slip through, even if they can't teleport or dimension door inside while it's up (Which extends to the indoors, by the way). You need to kill half the other systems (Including missiles) to get the energy to push the Mirrors of Mental Prowess through the shielding.

The missiles were given a specific 2 mile range from the Citadel. Why? Because it was originally set a good few more miles away from civilisation. Even with the fact that it's now airborne and flying about, the Seen Servants (And, although he's presently largely assumed dead, Lyinginbedmon) control them. Since I'm as big a fan of storyline as anyone, I'm not planning on unleashing them on Blauport City any time soon. They're not even very fast, they only fly by Fly, 30 ft./round (Or 3.4 mph).

This is why no-one has complained about them yet. They aren't invincible and they haven't god-modded, if anything they only seem broken because I'm a compulsive statistician :smallannoyed:

@V I think we can reasonably assume it's non-canon now.

As for reworking the storyline, how about this:

We have a universe-hopping god bunch, and we have multiple universes. How about the incident in your comics occured within another universe, and the evil Krauqs blasted your beaten and broken corpse into ours.

If DC comics can do it, so can we :smalltongue:

I'm trying to work this out... I'm going to reread the last few pages, just so I don't miss what anyone said. I think we all missed something. Also, did every school in the country have teacher's convention, or do most of you just have free-time right now... Because its oddly crowded in here.

I'll try to summarise what's happened.

1. Kheal and Squark teleport in to aprehend Nameless.
2. Nameless is released while Squark gives Threeshades a minor plot expo
3. Squark and kheal arrive at the citadel, unfortunatley allowing Squark's evil twin to come through to this universe.
4. Kheal and Nameless work out an agreement involving Kheal taking over the deathy-type stuff and Nameless borrowing Kheal's scythe. Kheal teleports to Nameless's house (offpanel)
5. Squark's evil twin kills ... Mr. Demigod, who is sent to Kheal's realm and tasked with the redecoration of it in exchange for ressurection.
6. Squark expels everyone to prevent them from being killed by his evil twin (Krauqs).
7.Squark and Krauqs fight a long battle culminating in the banishment of the citadel to the void and Squark's "death" and loss of god powers.

The Citadel of Bis Anu is still in the harbor of Blauport city, it was not destroyed and most definetly not replaced. Threeshades and her party are still in the citadel and no, that's not broken it's part of the creeping plot, and the plot belongs to Salmon and me, since it is our duel and we decide what's canon and what is not. You are all only side characters and we decide how much we let you take influence on the plot. (Lyinginbedmon and Kpenguin are contributing to it in a very constructive manner which is why they have so much influence)
