Has anyone done a 3.5 conversion for gem dragons? I need a young adult Topaz...

...And 3.0 psionics were weird! Any conversions exist? Alternately, what are some good alternative water element dragons that can live in a coast/river/swamp/wetland area well other than black and bronze? I'd like to set up a friendly rivalry in the area...

There is an update booklet for MMII that will help you with DR, LA, CR and skills for the Topaz dragon. As for its manifesting treat it as a psion of the listed caster level. Most importantly: Forget about the Attack/Defense modes.

As for your second question, 5 dragons out of 8 presented in Oriental adventures have the water subtype, Dragons of Faerun have the Mist dragon and finally Dragon Magazine #345 has Sea Serpents that have the same format/abilities as dragons. (Thank you Chet Erez)
