Gleaming Armor question

Does it protect the armor from being corroded by oozes and the like?

Much like how even a moon-touched sword counts as a magical weapon for damage resistance, even gleaming armor counts as magical for resisting damage by oozes.

I put a gleaming weapon in my game, which the ranger now wields because "at least it's magical." And thus overcomes resistance to non-magical piercing.
