Howdy folks,
So my group has moved to roll20 part way through Curse of Strahd. In a session or two, they'll be having their fortunes told by Madame Eva. My question is:

What's the best way to do the card reading over roll20? I have the CoS tarokka deck and was super keen on doing the live reading, and also offering to the players for readings for information on their own characters (backstory related). Now that seems to be out the window.

Did you buy the adventure in roll20? If so, it comes with a digital tarokka deck: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5417828/tarokka-deck

Oh! I didn't even know that was a thing. If I buy it, does it add the assets to my profile, or will I have to make a whole new game from scratch using the CoS adventure?

I'm not entirely sure to be honest. If you're happy with the game as it is, but you just want the tarokka deck, they sell that as an add-on (https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/gameaddon/341/tarokka-deck). Alternatively, you can make it yourself using roll20's collections feature (https://roll20.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039178754-Collections#Collections-Creating&EditingDecks), if you're willing to spend the time.

So, you will need to make a new room for it since CoS is a hardcover. However, it comes with all the maps, enemies, items, ect. premade and pre-set.

Can you make up markers and/or cards to display over roll20?

It might be a bit troublesome to start from a new room, however...

Bingo! That actually should work. That's basically what I need.
