This discussion topic on the 5e forum (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?612564-Has-magic-become-so-abundant-it-s-not-magical-anymore), and the blog post that prompted it (https://theangrygm.com/fanservice-bs-low-magic/), have got me thinking that a greater variety of mechanics for non-magical characters would be fun to explore.

Can anyone more versed in the homebrew scene recommend any good posts on this topic? I'm looking for subclasses, class variants such as the spell-less ranger, new classes like some kind of combat medic, and general mechanics like giving everyone maneuvers or introducing new maneuvers and martial feats (even class-specific ones perhaps).

My signature has a link to a combat manoeuvre subsystem.

Here's another one from the past couple of weeks: https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?612069-Martial-Combat-Expanded-V3

I worked on this (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?543153-5e-Low-Magic-Overhaul-(Including-a-new-quot-Priest-quot-class-based-on-ritual-magic)) a while back. It's mostly a reference for what options need to be houseruled or removed, with two new classes of debatable quality-- a Warlord that's sort of a more martial Bard, and a Scholar that's a hodgepodge of smart-support-guy archetypes. (Most of which wound up getting refined into the Magewright and Summoner base classes in my Guide to Greatness)
