So for once, many campaigns going and actually playing regularly, a friend borrowed my curse of stradh campaign book(nope not even had a peak in it) and were thinking of playing another goblin character in the campaign.

this time either a paladin or a barbarian, if barbarian will go for zealot I think. Not sure which pally would be best, probably oath of ancients and go single class DEX Paladin with dueling and sword and shield. We get a free feat at level one which will be squat nimbleness to either get 18 DEX(Paladin) or 16 STR(barb), as barbarian would probably dual wield. Any advice on how to progress the character, what backgrounds would be good, future ASI’s/feats and so on? :)

Getting to play a Goblin Barbarian with 16 Str would be really fun. I'd want to max Str, but you probably want to grab Res(Wis) at level 8.

Campaign-wise, Paladin is hands down better. Unless you're dead set on Barbarian, I'd go that route.

What you want regardless of class is a way to deal radiant damage.
