Kind of curious to see how you guys would go and build a character who focuses on using the powers of a Storm. Mostly using Wind, lightning, water spells. Without being too MAD

I was thinking Using the Tempest Cleric to be able to maximise Lightning based spells, and maybe the monk class to make him tougher, being able to fight up close utilising the Tempest domains Wrath of the Storm ability.

Going Tempest Domain 14/ Monk 6 would allow you to be able to use divine strike for 1 2d6 extra dmg per turn, wether using a melee weapon or your fists, also activating Thunderous Strike to push the hit enemy 10 ft away. You would also have access to 7th lvl cleric spells

You could always go 8 Tempest domain/ monk 12 where you would only do an extra 1d6 lightning damage but would hit for a d8 instead of a d6 for fists, which would add a bit of dmg with flurry of blows, you would also gain Evasion, stillness of mind and purity of body. plus a few monastic features. though you would lose out on a few spell levels.

which do you believe would make the better monastic tradition to go with this also?

What outcome are you looking for by mixing those two classes? If you make, say, a Storm Cleric 9 / Monk 5, what do you want your character to do and have that a Cleric 14 or a Monk 14 doesn't?

I think either Monk with a few Cleric levels or Cleric with a few Monk levels would be fun and not at all hard.

You can prioritize Dex>Wis>Con and dump the other 3 all the way.

You just need to decide if you want to be mostly Monk or mostly Cleric
