I have a tricky situation IŽd like some input on.
I would like you to put yourself in the shoes of Trixibelle, an NPC in my campaign.

Trixiebelle is an athlete, and a world class top 10 tier athlete in her sport.
She comes from a difficult background, raised on a failed colony in the ass end of the galaxy, but through much grit and fortitude she managed to haul herself out of it and lives the good life.
During (contextually) "the Olympics", she discovers her older sister (a player character) is also competing, under a false name.
Trixiebelle has not seen her sister for over 20 years. Her sister was taken away to prison as a war criminal.
When Trixiebelle confronts her sister, the sister insinuates she is there for a "job", and tells Trixiebelle NOT to win. Implying something will happen to the winner.

What does Trixiebelle do?
Does she keep silent?
Does she report it?
What would she do?
What would YOU do?

A few more things for context:
The planet they are on is ruled by an Admiralty military dictatorship. Getting caught for a crime means hard punishment, and you can forget due process.
They are both foreigners in this land, and they hold no ties to it. Neither of them live on the planet, not even the same sector.
The sport is very important to Trixiebelle. SheŽs a 15 year veteran of the sport.
She has no family of her own, but they have other siblings, cousins and nephews.

If you have other context questions, shoot :)

- Trixiebelle hires a crack team of infiltration specialists to find and disable or hack the tracer / ECCM which is doubtlessly planted in or around her sister.

- Trixiebelle and her crack team abduct her sister and escape from her sister's handlers after an exciting chase scene through the local asteroid belt.

- Once they've got at least 7 jump-gates and 7 network proxies between them and their origin planet, Trixiebelle ungags her sister and debriefs on what the heck is going on.

- They all become bounty hunters in a different star system, until they overthrow the regent of a nice vacation moon and retire as lords.

If my players have taught me anything: when in doubt, blow stuff up!

Seriously though, Trixie is an athlete, not Batman. Her sister is a known criminal. While heeding her sister's advice might be advisable, the "not-olympics" are currently being held in a space dictatorship, and if space dictatorships are known for anything, it's their secret police. If she acts on the information in way that is noticeable (like faking an injury before the "big run") she's likely to draw unwanted attention. If she's worried about what might happen to the winner, then she could throw the race, try to come in 2nd or 3rd, or "trip" and injure herself before the finish line.

Ultimately she has to choose between catching up with her long lost relative, and winning at the thing the loves and gets paid well to do.

The former may risk everything she has worked for. The latter means that "something bad" might happen to her, which of course could be just as bad or worse than risking everything she's worked for, but it's an unknown.

So answer: do as little as possible.
