True dragons tend to have caster levels no more than half their total HDs. They'd benefit a lot from abjurant champion, which sets their caster level equal to their attack bonus, but that takes at least 6 levels to happen. Are there any spells, feats, or anything like that which can improve CL--in some kind of scaling fashion--but with less investment than abjurant champion? While +4 from practiced spellcaster can be pretty nice for some mid-level gish builds, pretty much any white dragon (or even magickier dragons, if they have fighter-type levels) would much prefer to have a CL of even half their BAB.

There is actually an entire dragon handbook (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?303204-The-Truest-of-the-True-A-Handbook-to-non-Kobold-Dragons-(WIP)) devoted to questions like these.

Just house rule it to CL = CR or effective Sorcerer level, whichever is higher.
