Introduction: Piazo did an interesting job with the Alchemist, making it a viable choice for players to use. Unfortunately the Research fields other than Bomber are.. a bit lack-luster in actual gameplay. How often does one truly need anti-venom or to cure diseases? Compare that to how often you'd make bombs. Similarly, Mutagens are great tools, but are you going to make multiple mutagens in a fight? There was one type of alchemical item which they failed to create a research field for, however. Poison. It seemed to me a glaring omission that is something that would see uses both in and out of combat and would fill an interesting niche. As such, I present the...

Toxicologist
Your study of medicine has taught you to use small doses of toxin to ease pain or heal conditions, but this study has lead you to discover more nefarious purposes for those toxins. You start with the formulas for two 1st level alchemical poisons in your formula book, in addition to your other formulas. When applying poisons with the Injure trait to weapons or ammunition it only takes one action in combat.

Field Discovery - 5th
When using advanced alchemy to make poisons during your daily preparations, you can create three poisons with each batch of reagents instead of two.

Perpetual Infusions - 7th
You have learned how to create perpetual alchemical infusions that can provide a near-infinite supply of certain simple items. You gain the ability to create two 1st-level alchemical poisons using Quick Alchemy without spending a batch of infused reagents.

Perpetual Potency - 11th
Your perpetual infusions improve, allowing you to use Quick Alchemy to create more powerful items with no
cost. The items you can select depend on your research field and must be in your formula book.
You may choose any 2 poisons up to level 4.

Greater Field Discovery - 13th
You may add your intelligence bonus to the damage of each stage of your poisons.
