Effects that Reduce Ability Scores

The two effects I know of that can reduce ability scores are the Shadow (Str) and the Intellect Devourer (Int). Are there any others?

Maurezhi (MToF) can reduce Cha, Phylaskia (MOoT) can reduce Str

On a related note, I discovered that Con score (not modifier) determines how long one can safely stay in frigid water (DMG pg 110).

That means that 4/6 ability scores do provide a (minor) benefit even when odd. :smallamused:

Wish brings your STR down to 3 if you use it to do anything besides replicate spells of lvl8 or lower.

Feeblemind knocks INT and CHA down to 1.

The Book of Vile Darkness reduces one of your ability scores by 2 when you attune to it.
