necromancer ideas

hey guys i'v bean planing to play a necro but i want to try and do something interesting with it not just sommoning a bunch of zombies any ideas? :smallwink:

See my triad of undead, which together with the basic skeleton, can allow one to get 4 undead out of a single corpse (see my signature for the following links): Empty Skin, Gut Snake, and Hopping Stomach. Note that I list some caster level minimums that you might be able to talk you DM into letting you ignore, also note that you are going to need some skill checks, either from your own character or hiring someone. Specifically: Heal and/or Profession(Butcher) and/or Craft(Taxidermist). You also will need some additional spells for the Hopping Stomachs.

What alignment is your character and what does he or she mostly uses necromancy for? Once you answer the question I'll get back to you with some ideas. And yes, an Evilly aligned undead destroyer is acceptable in my mind.

he is CN and i'm just open to ideas no real consept yet

Err... if you aren't totally sold on arcane magic as the path (or at least the SOLE path) for the character you COULD also check out my "Master of Life and Undeath" Prestige Class... technically you only need 3 levels of cleric to get into it... The entrance requirements have been described as "harsh" and "a lot of book-keeping" but if you are going to be tracking the numbers (which I actually recommend you and the DM don't be TOO anal retentive about for the ones above 100...) it is best to be doing it from the get-go...

lawful evil, i supose, that is if there is no law against granting people a chance of revenge on other evil thingies. its a cool consept but it doesnt mesh with DnD verry wel. some time a go in a larp it turned out the castle we were using had a panic switch thingy that would turn all te paladins that were buried there into holy undead, was a cool consept, later the giatn did something alike.

Don't know how easy they are to create for a PC but "Holy Vengeance from beyond the Grave" just SCREAMS "deathless type" to me... which gets around the evil alignment.
