I've got a rat familiar off of a scroll I cast from for my urchin Arcane Trickster (personality based on Gavroche from Les Miz) and I need a name.

So far I have Rizzo and Javert (and I will order him to inspect things regularily). What else have you got?

EDIT: Note that you are welcome to suggest mouse names as well because the urchins pet mouse has been made my first familiar through magic

Anatole.
(Granted, he's a mouse, but I think it's a classy name from a kids book about a mouse (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatole_(mouse))helping a cheese maker improve his brand ...)

also
Ben
Willard

and finally
Whorf

That's a bit punny, a mix between Wharf Rat (waterfront low life) and Lt Worf of ST T NG ...

With that name there needs to also be a puppy named Paul Anka singing songs about how much he loves her.

We also have a Wizard and a Warlock pact of the Tome (and book of ancient secrets) in the party. There is a decent chance of that happening.

Ola.

Or a variation like Olaf, Olav or Ole, or some other stereotypical Norwegian name. Because it's a Norwegian rat (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_rat).

Thank you everyone for the suggestions.

Since the setting in PathFinder (converted to 5e) and we are in a city where the people have Roman style name I decided to go with Julius Cheeser. There were lots of laughs when I summoned him to use.

On that line, if he dies, make the next one Augustus.

When he dies I will definitely take possession and project my voice through the familiar (I don't care if I can't actually do that), so the dying words can be "Et tu X"
