Working on making a set of weapons magic weapons and was hoping for some feedback.
Weapon (longsword), Legendary (requires attunement)
A sword said to leave no stroke or blow unfinished. This legendary longsword will cleave whosoever stands in its way. You gain +3 to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Based on the description, some possible abilities:
1. In addition, the sword has 5 charges. After missing an attack, as a bonus action, you may expend a charge to deal 4d6 thunder damage to the target you missed. The sword regains 1d4 + 1 charges at dawn.
2. When you roll a 20 on an attack roll made with this weapon, the target takes an extra 4d6 slashing damage.
3. In addition, this weapon ignores resistance to slashing damage. When you roll a 20 on an attack roll made with this weapon, the target is instantly slain.
4. In addition, the sword has 5 charges. As an action you can spend a charge to cast Thunderous Smite or three charges to cast Tidal Wave with the sword. The sword regains 1d4 + 1 charges at dawn.
The shortsword it's paired with has 3 charges and provides haste when using one of the charges. They're supposed to be a set with one being fast and the other being the powerhouse. They were originally gifted by a Sea God. Any insight or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
