Is there any way for someone to prematurely end a barbarian’s rage? I’m talking about another person (not the barbarian) shutting down the barbarian’s rage, either in melee or from a distance.
I’m open to all options from all official Wizards and Paizo sources. Is there a spell, feat, or some obscure technique that could do this?

Calm Emotions (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/c/calm-emotions/) and similar effects will do what you are asking.
Hazing Strike, a feat from page 117 of Secrets of Sarlona, allows the user to knock a victim of a successful Stunning Fist attempt out of several mental states, including but not limited to rage.

Does applying the fatique status remove a barbarian from rage, or just prevent it?

About 30 hits of drow sleepytime poison will usually do it too.

Fatigue will not end a rage effect, but it will prevent a Barbarian from entering a rage unless they have a specific rage power or other means to ignore fatigue.
