Just trying to get some feed back/opinions on some stuff of mine. Any criticism is welcome, but please keep it civil and specific.

I wouldn't recommend using that skullkid avatar as your forum one. It resizes to a square and looks odd. You need to make the original a square, resize it in some good image viewing program like irfanview, and then use the resized version.

The art itself is pretty god, though.

Thanks  it's nice to hear some positive feedback.
I'm very very hard on myself. :smalltongue:

Yeah... the skullkid didn't turn out like I intended XD
Halfway, I just kinda started to over do it, and kinda forgot why I was doing it. But I was having fun, so I went with it. :smallcool:

Edit: Now I've actually got to draw to update this thread :smalleek: What have I gotten myself into!?!

Hmm...still deformed for some reason. Let me see...it shouldn't be.

Hmm, I do have an idea. When you added your avatar...did you set the custom avatar width? It should be 74 under custom avatar width in pixel and 120 under custom avatar height in pixels.

If it isn't set to that, setting it should make it a little less deformed.

...oh, and um, could you put the picture onto your own server or something like photobucket?. I can't guarantee that I'll always keep the picture up on mine...so um, if delete it then you will lose your avatar and we don't want that.

The cloat like thing he wears, I have no clue how to call it correctly, looks a tad bit strange in the area around his neck, as in the cloth shoots out like horns, or a bit like that.

The hat could be a little bit higher than it is, other than that it looks good.

Do you have a bigger version? It looks a bit pixely and I could resize it for you.

No, only version I have. I made it that size in paint XD
Thanks for the criticism  I think the next step for me is to get a better program to work in. But my computer is kinda... dying on me, so I may wait till an upgrade in hardware before updating my software.

You paint this good at that size in paint? (why exactly did I want to stop before writing the t in the last word?)

Either you use other programs, or you should draw them bigger and resize them in Irfanview. Works wonders to the pixels, though you still need to watch out for proportions, not all details you do can be seen in the finished product, damn me and my obsession with details.

I don't know why I drew this, or why I'm even putting it up, it's just a side note to a side note, but eh, why not. it's kinda pretty.

I did this on My DS, believe it or not, then took a picture of the screen with my webcam, hence the strange colour for the 'paper'.

It's also made me come to think that I should stop anime-ing my art work so much. Because, frankly, I now realize that style pisses me off. :smallamused:

Edit: And thank you for the kind words, CSK  I'm glad you think it looks good-ish.
