According to the spell text, you make an attack as part of the spell; I assume this uses your regular attack stats, such as STR for a longsword or DEX for a rapier.

It doesn't use your casting stat like CHA to attack?

Correct. The only two instances in the game that uses your natural stabbing skill over magical I believe.

In short, you use your spell attack modifier when something says "make a spell attack", and your weapon attack modifier when something says "make a weapon attack". And those two cantrips, despite being spells, say "weapon attack".

Yes, but that has little to do with BB/GFB. That is an ability given by a completely different spell or ability (but if you are going to mention it you may as well add in Artificer: Battlesmiths too) that impacts all of your attacks, not just the GFB/BB ones.
