Can anyone recommend a 5E Warlord class or something similar? A translation from the 4E version (https://dnd4.fandom.com/wiki/Warlord). Not looking for a Bard or Fighter subclass but a full blown class of its own. Not a primary caster, mostly martial.

Thanks,
Necro

On the phone-but I did the Marshal, which was a take on that style.

Not sure it’ll scratch your itch, but might be worth checking out.

Thanks. Cannot find it in your signature. Can you link it directly or help a brother out?

On a related note any recommendations on a Marshal class for 5E?

I have a Warlord in my sig that I submitted to one of the base class contests recently. Needs work, but it's there to look at. It has a Marshal subclass, but it wasn't really designed to emulate that class (really it wasn't specifically meant to emulate the Warlord either, just the role)

KibblesTasty's Warlord is the homebrew I know that has received the most feedback. I recommend checking it out.

I haven't seen a Marshal class that has actually run through playtests and received positive feedback. 5e's emphasis on bounded accuracy makes it tough to design auras for that.
