Previous editions of D&D have spell resistance as a very powerful protection, where the caster has to make an ability check to even affect the target. 5e has a similar concept of Magic Resistance. It isn't quite as good, but advantage on saves against spells would still be a pretty potent buff. So why not make it one?

Currently I'm thinking along the lines of:

Protection from Magic
5th level abjuration

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Components: V S M (A pinch of powdered iron)
Duration: Concentration, up to 10 minutes
Classes: Cleric, Paladin

For the duration, a willing creature you touch has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Any ideas for making this balanced? For example, should the duration or spell level be increased or decreased?
