Welcome to week 9 of us finding out popularity on monsters by direct vote!

You may vote freely for any number of monsters of the selected theme, and at the end of each day for a whole week, we'll see which one was the favoirte 7 days later.
This isn't a competition, just a game, and as a game, everyone is entitled to their opinion of which monster is the best for them, so no arguments please, be good bois. Feel free to say why you love your picks, to help us expand on our viewpoint of that particular creature.
Any vote cast as a reply will be added or counted, so if your monster isn't named yet, vote for it and it will appear and compete~!
Also, whenever your vote isn't statted in D&D 5e rules, it will also be counted as an honorable mention, so don't worry about silly details and keep voting!

This week's theme is:

Giants

I wasn't able to find the original artist, if source can be provided, it will be appreciated as to give credit.

The end date will be next Wednesday, September 9th.
Any source in 5e is fine, as there isn't that much to pick from (yet), and for those obscure 3rd parties, just point out where are they located for the sake of reference~

My vote: Easy one, Cloud Giants. I love their fluff, their flying cities, and they look intimidating enough~

I agree with cloud giants, they're the only ones that I have ever considered putting in my campaign (I like fairy tale motifs). But their MM art is horrible with the blue hipster hair and dainty vampire fangs.

Yeah, for me, the 3.5e artwork is far superior.

Fomorian.

So fun to run, so fun to add class features to...

Oni. To me the statblocks of most true giants are either rather plain, or are very high CR so I haven't been able to make much use of them in campaigns recently. But Oni are low enough to be usable more readily, but have such a variety of features that it can do almost anything I would want an evil boogie man character to do.

Second place for me would be tied for storm giant / quintessent.

Cyclops Monster Manual p.45, something about the classic one eye giant always fun to use. Whether to be the early tier 1 BBEG, or a tier 2 possible ally depending on the player's agency.

Fire Giant. They make the most interesting antagonists, imo, because their forging skill is easy to translate into something like the Fire Nation's technological edge in A:tLA.

The humble Ogre.

It's the first giant pcs are liable to encounter. It might be the last.

Trolls. I recommend to all DMs having a few encounters with normal trolls followed by one with the Loathsome Limbs variant. Especially if your players have never encountered it before. Honestly the variant is the major reaosn I'm voting for them.

I have to give it to the Oni. They are really fun to drop in as a difficult encounter at low levels, and I have always loved the mystique they present.

Obi, I love them. Spell casting shape shifting giants.

I vote Storm Giant Quintessent. The idea of the giant becoming “one with the storm” of sorts appeals to my sense of coolness.

Wait there is a cyclops in the MM? That must be about the only monster I forgot about in the entire book.

Oh, as I'm writing this an image comes to mind. That's the one with the weird pose right? Holding a weapon over his head with both hands. I admit I have never even read the lore blurb or statblock for it.
