Complete Champion has a barbarian variant feature that provides pounce as an ability.

More specifially, you "trade" fast movement at 1st level for the pounce ability.

See Complete Champion for more details.

There is also an item called "Claws of the Leopard" or something. It's in Complete Adventurer, I think. They're spiked gauntlets giving, among other things, pounce.

Ironic that the question is how to gain pounce as a barbarian instead of the usual "is there a way to gain pounce other than barbarian", considering the ease of one-level dip...

I don't see that in Comp Adv. I know there are Panther Claws (+4 disarm) and Tiger Claws (+1 climb) in Arms & Equipment Guide

Lion Totem Barbarian was in Unearthed Arcana I think.
May have been reprinted in Complete Champion.

There's a Lion Totem Barbarian in UA (and SRD) but it doesn't give pounce.

There's a Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian in Comp Champ that gives pounce at level 1 and is ridiculous.

Exactly... if you already have the game running, it's time to talk to the DM about the retraining rules.
Other than Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian the only way I know of getting Pounce is through polymorph/wild shape and the like. Oh, and a wild feat.

Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian. As stated above from Complete Champion.

If going that, I'd also suggest the Whirling Frenzy rage varient, and dropping a feat into 'Extend Rage'.

The "Lists of Stuff" (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=662842) thread from the Gleemax boards always deserves to be linked.

And I'll post the relevent info too, just to save time:

The Grand Compilation of Full-Attack Charging PC Tricks
(by approximate level of availability; missing Sandstorm, Lost Empires of Faerun, Lords of Madness, Heroes of Battle, Champions of Ruin)

NO TEMPLATES ARE LISTED HERE.

Also, certain abilities only work in the first round of combat. Others work any time they are used.

1) Lion Tribe Warrior (Regional feat, human only, single light weapon only, Shining South)
2) Catfolk Pounce feat (Racial feat: Catfolk, Races of the Wild. Available at character level 1, but listed at level 2 because of Catfolk's +1 LA)
4) Psionic Lion's Charge (2nd level psywar power, augments to add damage to each attack, Expanded Psionic's Handbook)
5) Lion's Charge (3rd level druid / 4th level ranger spell, most recent version Miniatures Handbook)
5) Wild Shape (Fleshraker, Monster Manual III)

11) Lion's Pounce (5th level Lion of Talisid prestige class ability, Book of Exalted Deeds)

17) Shapechange spell (many forms grant Pounce or an extra move action, or something sicker (Chronotryn (FF), Choker).)
17) Greater Metamorphosis power (As Shapechange, but may require Metamorphic Transfer feat)
21) Dire Charge epic feat (Widely accepted as at least slightly underpowered, but works regardless of your equipment or magic availability. Draconomicon)

Variable level: Claws of the Leopard (spiked gauntlets, Complete Adventurer, priced at 38,305. Only works with the claws themselves).

Note that the Great Granddaddy of Wild Shape, the Mulhorandi Divine Minion, may be able to pull off some of these far earlier than other characters.

With sufficient cheatery twinks, anything is possible.

Me too, but if you havn't been on the forum long and don't have CC, you probably don't know it.

OP: A one level dip precisely for this is very common in melee builds because it allows a full attack so much more often.

Complete Adventurer (3.5), p. 129, according to this index (http://timjoh.com/dnd/?book=Complete+Adventurer). I have no idea how accurate that thing is though, I don't have the books here.

Claws of the leopard are on pg 129 and do give full attack on a charge (not called pounce, but whatever).

There is also a "pounce light" Feat in PHBII, if I recall correctly (AFB at the moment).

Every single charge build I've seen since Comp Champion came out involves a level of Barbarian one way or another. There's almost no avoiding it anymore. Best thing to happen to melee ever since PHB2 came out. It helps make the power discrepancy narrower between casters and fighters.

The Snow Tiger Berserker lodge feat from Unapproachable East gives it, but only with light weapons.

The full attack can only come from the gaunlets themselves though, meaning you have to hit with the gaunlets and can't use another weapon.
