Raw thread is at 50+ pages and no new one, so asking in it's own post:

As far as I've searched (core, google, masters of the wild) I can't find anything saying the same animal can or cannot serve as an animal companion for multiple druids. Anyone have any info to share on this?

No, it cannot. Each druid gets its own animal companion. An ac cannot split time with 2 or more druids. There are no rules saying they can do this, so they cannot.

If you could pull it off, would be pretty insane. Getting the extra HD, ability boosts etc. from multiple druids, it would be one beefy animal!

Well, there is the fact that, "A 1st-level druid’s companion is completely typical for its kind," which kinda rules out another druid's animal companion, since it's not "typical" anymore.

There is only actually one animal companion in existence. Due to the 15 minute adventuring day, he can serve any number of druids, growing quietly stronger.

Today, that energy is released.

One companion, but many bodies; a hive mind, biding its time.

Baleful polymorph failing its saves, make it your companion again for the bonus HD, dispel, profit?

"1st level" meaning at 2nd level that's not an issue.

not that you'd really get any benefit until 3rd anyway.

that is not how that works at all. the druid binds an animal as it's companion, unless there's something out there saying that the druid can't bind an already bound animal, it should be legal. the only restrictions are on what kind of animal, but that's not what we're discussing here.

that's actually the concept i'm going for kind of.
