So anyway, I came across the rather hilarious weapon quality known as Masterslaying from the BoVD. +1 weapon quality, on command (no specification of command type or action) the weapon attacks its current wielder (and that wielder is considered flat-footed.) If it hits, the weapon "deals critical hit damage".
So as said, hilarious on its terms. But maybe not so much if you have a melee weapon with the Throwing quality, a good critical modifier, and have cast Friendly Fire on yourself. For argument's sake, hang the weapon by a leather strap off yourself.
Command the weapon. It starts a ranged attack on you, hits your Friendly Fire spell, and redirects to another target where it deals critical hit damage since Friendly Fire only says you resolve the attack 'as normal' ... which, for this weapon, means it deals critical damage on a hit.
Discuss, nitpick, eat popcorn, etc.
