Since they've popped up now, it seems like it may be a good idea to spin off discussion on the new system for racial modifiers in Tasha's as its own thread, rather than it taking over the more general TCoE thread entirely.

The rules generally let you freely reassign racial ASIs and languages, and semi-freely reassign proficiencies. Other racial traits stay.

I personally think that it seems to be an overly rushed and simplistic way to increase versatility (not to mention screwing over regular human even harder than before), but I can understand arguments on both sides.

What do y'all think?

There are two discussions of this already happening. One here (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?618956-quot-Customizing-your-Origin-in-D-amp-D-quot), and the other in the original poorly named thread (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?617862-New-Book-on-Amazon&p=24711653#post24711653) about Tasha’s.

Ah. Other one had dropped from the top and I missed it. Disregard this thread then.
