Marvelous Pigments
At first level, the marvelous artist is trained to create magical pigments, transmuting any gold, gems, herbs and other valuable materials into an equal gold value in Marvelous Pigments (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/m-p/marvelous-pigments/). Although the artist may create multiple pots of magical pigments this way, the value of an individual item may still not exceed 2000gp.

Quick Sketch
A number of times per equal to 4 + his Charisma modifier, the marvelous artist may make a quick sketch of an object as a full round action which provokes attacks of opportunity. This functions as creating an object from marvelous pigments, but does not require a skill check or expend any pigments. The total value of objects created using this ability cannot exceed 100gp per level in marvelous artist, and no more than one quick sketch can be maintained at a single time. The old object disappears whenever a new one is created, or whenever the marvelous artist killed, paralyzed, stunned, knocked unconscious or otherwise prevented from taking a free action each round to maintain the sketch. This ability can also be used for a number of specialized purposes, detailed below. No more than one of the below abilities can be activated by a single artistic creation. the marvelous artist may spend the usual time and cost in pigments to 'finish' a sketch, causing it to become a real object, just as if it were created using marvelous pigments in the first place. Once complete, the object will no longer disappear if quick sketch is interrupted.

This ability replaces bardic music and all abilities based on bardic music.

Inspiring Artwork
If a 1st level marvelous artist uses his marvelous pigments or quick sketch abilities to create an immobile art installation of chiefly symbolic value (a statue, a flag, a topiary, a monument or the like), all allies within 60 feet of the object who are able to perceive it receive a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls. At 5th level, and every six marvelous artist levels thereafter, this bonus increases by +1, to a maximum of +4 at 17th level. This bonus lasts until the creature moves out of range or until the object itself is moved more than 5 feet and cannot be regained until at least 24 hour have passed. This counts as inspire courage for any feature which modifies inspire courage.

Practical Artwork
If a 3rd level marvelous artist creates tools using his marvelous pigments or quick sketch abilities with a particular task in mind, it grants a +2 competence bonus toward that task. This bonus only applies to the specific narrow task in question and does not benefit other uses of the skill in other circumstances. This benefit stacks with the benefit provided by a masterwork tool, if the artist chooses to create a masterwork tool with this ability. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels the artist has attained beyond 3rd (+3 at 7th, +4 at 11th, +5 at 15th, and +6 at 19th). This counts as inspire competence for any feature which modifies inspire courage.

Suggestive Artwork
If a 6th level marvelous artist uses his marvelous pigments or quick sketch abilities to create an object without invoking one of the other special uses of the quick sketch ability, he may use make a single Suggestion (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/s/suggestion) (as per the spell) to any one creature which witnesses the object emerging from the flat image. A Will saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 artist level + artist’s Cha modifier) negates the effect. This ability initially affects only a single creature, but at 18th level the marvelous artist gains the ability to affect any number of creatures at once with the same suggestion. Suggestive artwork is an enchantment (compulsion), mind-affecting ability and relies on visual components. This counts as the suggestion bardic performance for any feature which modifies the suggestion bardic performance. The 18th level version counts instead as the mass suggestion bardic performance. Unlike the bardic version of this ability, the marvelous artist may not repeatedly use this ability on the same target.

Startling Artist
If an 8th level marvelous artist uses his marvelous pigments or quick sketch abilities to create an object which would startle or terrify onlookers, he may cause choose all enemies within 30 feet who are able to see the object emerge from its image to become shaken by the sight for one minute (no save). At 14th level, the artist may make his artwork even more alarming, forcing enemies to make a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 artist level + artist’s Cha modifier) or become frightened for 1d4 rounds before becoming shaken for one minute after that. A successful save negates the frightened effect, but does not prevent the enemy from becoming shaken. Startling Artist is a mind-affecting fear effect, and it relies on visual components. The 8th level version counts as dirge of doom for any feature which modifies dirge of doom, while the 14th level version counts as frightening tune.

Artistic Greatness
If an 9th level marvelous artist uses his marvelous pigments or quick sketch abilities to adorn a willing ally within 30 feet (including himself), he may grant that ally 2 bonus Hit Dice (d20s), the commensurate number of temporary hit points (apply the target’s Constitution modifier, if any, to these bonus Hit Dice), a +2 competence bonus on attack rolls, and a +1 competence bonus on Fortitude saves. The bonus Hit Dice count as regular Hit Dice for determining the effect of spells that are Hit Dice dependent. For every three levels the marvelous artist attains beyond the 9th, he can target one additional ally this this ability, up to a maximum of four at 18th level. Artistic Greatness is a mind-affecting ability and relies on visual components. It counts as inspire greatness for any feature which modifies inspire greatness.

Animator
At 12th level, the marvelous artist may elect for objects created using quick sketch to be animated as per Animate Objects (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/a/animate-objects/) with a caster level equal to his marvelous artist levels once created. The marvelous artist may also craft animated objects as if he had the Craft Construct feat and all of the necessary spells known, using his supply of marvelous pigments to replace the crafting components normally required. This is an exception to the usual prohibition on expending more than 2000 gp on a single item created using marvelous pigments and to the usual time and skill check requirements required to use marvelous pigments - use the times and skill checks normally required for magic item creation instead.

Heroic Artwork
If an 15th level marvelous artist uses his marvelous pigments or quick sketch abilities to depict a willing ally (including the artist himself) in a heroic light using a piece of artwork which clearly identifies that ally. For every three marvelous artist levels beyond the 15th, he can depict the heroics of one additional creature. Beneficiaries receive a +4 morale bonus to saving throws and a +4 dodge bonus to AC, subject to the same conditions laid out in inspiring artwork for duration. Heroic Artwork is a mind-affecting ability and relies on visual components. It counts as inspire heroics for any feature which modifies inspire heroics.

Final Artwork
If a 20th level marvelous artist uses his marvelous pigments or quick sketch abilities to fully depict a creature, in body, mind and soul, he may trap that creature (provided it is within 30 feet) within the art itself. The target receives a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 the bard’s level + the bard’s Cha modifier) to negate the effect. If a creature’s saving throw succeeds, the target is staggered for 1d4 rounds, and the artist cannot attempt this entrapment on that creature again for 24 hours. If a creature’s saving throw fails, it is sealed within and can only be freed through the use of of a Freedom (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/f/freedom) spell cast upon the artwork. If the artist knows the target's name and some facts about its life, the target takes a -4 penalty on its save. If this ability is activated using quick sketch and not subsequently completed, it only lasts as long as that particular quick sketch does - the creature is freed when the quick sketch ends.

Critique
By expending a use of his quick sketch ability as a immediate action, marvelous artist may make Craft (art) check to critique a visual illusion or gaze which he is aware of. Any creature within 30 feet of the artist (including the artist himself) may use the result of his Craft check in place of their saving throw, if after their saving throw is rolled, the Craft check result proves to be higher. Unlike other uses of the quick sketch ability, this neither requires the creation of an object nor interrupts an existing instance of quick sketch.

Artist's Marks
At 2nd level, the marvelous artist learns Arcane Mark as a free cantrip which does not count against his cantrips known. He also adds the spells Blend, Incendiary Runes, Make Whole, Mirror Hideaway, Glyph of Warding, Explosive Runes, Greater Make Whole, Minor Creation, Rapid Repair, Permanency, Summon Laborers and Disintegrate to the bard spell list. This replaces Versatile Performance and modifies the bard's spell list.

Keen-Eyed
At 2nd level, the marvelous artist becomes resistant to the creations of others and to strange sights in general. He gains a +4 bonus on saving throws made against illusions, magical writing and gaze attacks. This replaces Well-Versed.
