Just looking for suggestions on a Spheres of Might build for a character who does a big 2-handed sword type style.
Haven't done anything like that yet, and would appreciate any recommendations on Spheres/Talents.

Beserker/Brute combo is the most straight-forward way to get on someone and pummel them into oblivion. Picking up Brute w/ Focusing Shove lets you regain your martial focus as a move action and a successful touch attack. From there, power attack and vital strike with a 2d6 (or larger) weapon and Brutal Strike from Beserker adding twice your BAB to damage. Pick an (exertion) talent to add riders to your Brutal Strike and you can take Duelist to add some bleed damage to your hits.

Guardian is a useful pick up if for no other reason than to use for the delayed damage pool, that can extend your ability to outlast enemies greatly.

In addition to Nizaris' comment, which covers the first points I would make, I will note that other spheres, like fencing and duelist, are weapon-agnostic. Despite the names, they work just fine with a two-handed sword.

After that, what do you want to do? Heavy armor/defensive? Mobility? Full-plate parkour reach-tank is a thing the system can do (bit of an action bottleneck on that particular combo), so knowing more about what you envision allows better advice.

The Lancer sphere is also weapon-agnostic, and works best with big-damage weapons, which two-handers usually are.

I will second Lancer, it's a good way to get some swift action damage in and lock down down your target. Great Focus is a great feat to pick up when you can for the bonus mental focus.

Despite being the "fighter" substitute, Conscript is a good class if you want to maximize feats and talents. Full BAB and able to get perfect saves on a d12 class and other options by trading out their bonus feats. If you want to sacrifice talents/feats for more Strength, either the Painted Savage or Beserker Barbarian archetypes are solid choices.

You'll want the Versatile Fighter stance from the Equipment sphere, as it's Power Attack and condition-negation in one handy Swift action package.

In fact, a Master of Many Stances Monk with a Nine-section Whip might be interesting for this kind of thing. The whip is helpful for several combat maneuvers and Offensive Stance will prolong the Battered condition from Shove and Brutal Strike.
