dragonborn template question

We play 3.5 and my race is Anthropomorphic Bat(Savage Species pg 216). It gives the following things

Small
Str -4, Wis +6, Cha -2
Land Speed 5
Fly 20 (Average)
Darkvision 60’
Blindsense 20’
+4 racial on Spot/Listen

If I take the dragonborn template (RotD, 8), I wonder if I lose the two following capacities:
Darkvision 60’
Blindsense 20’

From my understanding, I lose them. Everywhere I see that it worth it to take this template with this race since it give a lot of things but the blindsense seems really good to me.

I was wondering if I was missing something.

I see nothing in the mechanics of rebirth that all you to keep them. So, yes, you'd lose them as well as your bonus to Spot and Listen.

You'll lose the blindsense, darkvision, and skill bonuses. Whether it's worth taking Dragonborn just depends on your character. Anthro Bat is really only worthwhile on a Druid since you can Wild Shape to get around the mobility issues, in which case Dex doesn't matter but Con and Wis does.

Anthropomorphic Raven is better as a Dragonborn imo. Str -6, Dex +2, Wis +6 is a pretty good array, plus 30ft poor flight and 10ft land speed.
