What does it mean with the - or n/a for making it out of mithril? Does it mean that it can't be made for some reason?

Also the special portion of cold iron says "Magical enchantments cost an additional 2,000 gp." does that mean total additional cost or cost for every increment? Like +1 = additional 2000gp, +2 = additional 4000 gp?

Items not made primarily of metal can't be made of mithral. Glaives have too much wood.

Each enchantment costs what it would normally cost, +2000. It doesn't multiply; it's just a flat increase stacked on the top of everything else determining the cost of the enchant. Depending on DM's interpretation, this might mean it's 8000 gold cheaper to have a masterwork weapon enchanted to +5 than to +1, then +2, then +3, then +4, and finally +5, or it might mean that you pay +2000 extra when you first have it enchanted and after that further enchants are not increased.

The first point is because Mithril is a material that affects weapon weight, and weapons not made mainly of metal aren't affected. You could technically make your weapon out of Mithril, but it doesn't have the effects of the special material. In this case, a Glaive's weight comes mainly from its wooden shaft.

The second point I belive is only for the enchanting process, so making it magical costs 2000gp more as a baseline. The rules for upgrading enchants came with the MIC, so it's not the original intent that Cold Iron costs you 2000gp extra each time you improve something, because if you wanted a +3 Cold Iron Glaive you'd make it +3 straight up. By RAW though, yes, each subsequent enchant would cost you anoter 2000gp, but not for each +1. This means that making a +2 weapon costs extra 2k, then later enchanting it further to effective +6 costs another 2k if you do it in one go.

No, not even then.

As General Ackbar said, "It's a trap!"

Get metalline or an alchemical mixture to let your weapon overcome DR/cold iron, or just make a mundane weapon and use spells (such as greater magic weapon) and MIC weapon crystals to buff it up.

Mithral is overall a pretty crappy weapon material in my opinion. It's masterwork and lighter, that's it. It should do more like make a regular weapon considered light for two weapon fighting or something to give it a little more value. I think it is just +2k to whatever you do, a +1 or +5 is still +2k. Cold iron is expensive but it's very rare to find a source of, metaline and transmutive do work but they take up your precious +10 limit on weapons.

Mithral is for armor.

That's it, really.
