Is there a way for an animal to Aid Another?

Pretty much the title. Is there a trick? Can you accomplish it with a Push? Can your animal companion use the Aid Another action in combat?

Complete Adventurer, p.100, though there are two separate tricks, Assist Attack and Assist Defend, each of which have a prereq trick. (The prereqs seem to be for *learning* the trick though, and I don’t see anything that would obviate you being able to Push an animal to perform such tricks.)
