So Mycontil's last resort is an area spell that usually burns the caster's remaining spell slots and converts them into damage. When making a living spell from this, how would one determine that damage?

Would it be based on the caster of the spell it was based on's remaining slots? Would it be equivalent to what a caster (likely sorcerer) of a caster level = to its own would get from class alone? Would it drain the person hit with the slam attack of any slots they may have and create the burst that way?

Any insight would be welcome

Mycontil's last resort is not a valid target for the living spell template. It only works on spells that create an area or effect, because living spell doesn't really make a lot of sense with targeted effects like this.

It isn't a targeted spell, and very specifically is an area spell; it merely has a personal range to it. If it was range: personal target: you, it would be a different story
