Ok a couple things:

1: I thought I saw (a long time ago) a feat or something that would allow a wizard to have more than 1 familiar?

2: What would make a great familiar for a non-evil goblin/lich? maybe a vampire? lol. j/k. But only because they can't be. What sources are there that have options for familiars?

3: I've hit my head again. I can't find where it says what happens to the wizard if his/her familiar dies?

Dragon 280

Alternative starting familiars (that actually give bonuses like core familiars): Bird, Dog, Fox, Hare, Lizard, Mouse, Otter, Raccoon, Skunk, Squirrel

Extra Familiar feat and support for it.

Dragon 323

Specialist Familiars (Additional familiars with bonuses to wizard, including hummingbird), at DM’s discretion these specialized familiars can be added to the list of regular familiars available to sorcerers and wizards (and presumably other classes with familiars such as adept and hexblade)

Stitched flesh familiar lets you get an undead Frankenstein version of any familiar you could normally obtain and, instead of its regular familiar bonus, allows you to control an extra 4 HD of undead. Costs you a feat, but it is thematically fitting for a necromancer and/or undead wizard.
I think there's also an undead option available via improved familiar. Not sure if combining improved familiar and stitched flesh familiar lets you get an improved familiar that gives the +4 HD of undead, since improved familiars don't have a special ability to substitute for that bonus as far as I'm aware.
Let's get Thurbane, the "There's A Thread For That" guy, in here to link a compilation of familiar options.

I'm not finding anything on familiars in dragon 323. I do however like the feats extra familiar and improved familiar. I can get 2 imps :)
Imps have an "alternate form" ability, what (other than the 4 listed) can they change into? Other options that is. "No larger than medium". Is there a listing somewhere of creatures considered "medium"? Are humanoids legal? Or is it limited to animal forms?

"Alternate Form (Su)
An imp can assume another form at will as a standard action. This ability functions as a polymorph spell cast on itself (caster level 12th), except that an imp does not regain hit points for changing form, and an individual imp can assume only one or two forms no larger than medium. Common forms include monstrous spider, raven, rat, and boar."

Am I correct in assuming Imps get all the "standard" devil stuff?

"Devil
Devils are fiends from lawful evil-aligned planes.
Many devils are surrounded by a fear aura, which they use to break up powerful groups and defeat opponents piecemeal. Devils with spell-like abilities use their illusion abilities to delude and confuse foes as much as possible. A favorite trick is to create illusory reinforcements; enemies can never be entirely sure if a threat is only a figment or real summoned devils joining the fray.
Devil Traits
Most devils possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry).
Immunity to fire and poison.
Resistance to acid 10 and cold 10.
See in Darkness (Su): Some devils can see perfectly in darkness of any kind, even that created by a deeper darkness spell.
Summon (Sp): Some devils share the ability to summon others of their kind (the success chance and type of devils summoned are noted in each monster description).
Telepathy.
Except when otherwise noted, devils speak Infernal, Celestial, and Draconic."

No this would be for the goblin lich I'm working on. Not sure of his level though if that matters?

Improved familiar + stitched flesh familiar: worg. It is really thematic for a goblin.

Stitched flesh familiar doesn't apeal to me. Reminds me of the abominations in Warcraft. Hate those things. lol.

For the dragon familiars, what age/hd would they be?

The ability says it functions as the polymorph (http://dndsrd.net/spellsPtoR.html#polymorph) spell, which does allow you to change into humanoid forms. The only catch is that as a racial ability you may only choose one form (or two if your DM is generous) that your imp can change into.

Imps don't get the full devil package. All of these immunities, resistances, and abilities are specifically noted in each creature's stat block under special qualities, but the only thing imps get out of the standard devil traits list is immunity to poison.

Ah, thank you. I thought I had seen something like that in your signature the other day. There's just so much in there xD
