DMG pg 175 posits a potential alternate sorcerer, the Witch (possessing a mix of spells from the cleric, druid, and wizard lists, with some guidelines on what spells are appropriate for the list).. Presuming that the witch automatically knows all spells on their list (the way beguiler and warmage), what tier are we looking at? Does that tier improve significantly if we take the guidelines on what spells are witch-appropriate and use it to add spells from splats to the witch's list?

They are supposed to have strong access to Charm and Polymorph. Charm is hit and miss at high levels due to common immunities, but Polymorph is very strong throughout all levels. Based on that, I'd say Tier 2 in general. Sorcerer-style spells known vs. beguiler-style spells known doesn't change that because you only need a few Polymorph spells to do amazing things. Splat book spells add some significant extra power but I don't see new ways to get overwhelming power.
