Heyya, playground!

One of my PCs is a druid, venerating Silvanus.

What would be a proper(short!) quest for her, something to venerate this god? She wants to do something that would please this god and local elves (the DM in this case) should give her a clue.

Do you guys have any good (or not so good, but still interesting) ideas, what such a quest should be?

thanks

Could you provide some additional information? What is their personality like? Is this a group quest or a solo adventure? Where are they located (what climate)? What is the setting?

I don't see how Silvanus would care about personality... It's a standard druid. I'm looking for a quest that really reflect's Silvanus' dogma.
It is a solo quest, but rest of the party will gladly follow. They are in a High Forest on Sword coast, at the southern part of mentioned forest. So it's FR setting. :)

In the 2e Druid’s Handbook, there was a line about how an area of a single perpetual season would be seen as an abomination by a Druid, despite maybe being pleasing to the area’s inhabitants. For instance, an area of a forest is in perpetual Fall, people there might appreciate the steady weather, but someone that worships nature would hate it, because it’s unnatural.

So maybe have a section of woodlands or prairie in a single perpetual season that the Druid needs to fix. If it’s populated by people that want it to stay the way that it is, then the Druid may need to find a way to convince them that it’s better to change it. The cause of the single season could be part of the quest, followed by finding a way to remove it.

Splendid idea. Perhaps anyone can chip in what causes this effect? And what sort of settlement should I place there?

If you read the PHB description of a druid, they hate undead and aberrations. Silvanus, being all about the natural world, would be pleased if a local aberration or undead {problem} were solved by this druid.

Pick some undead or some aberrations of a CR that you think makes an appropriate challenge, and have that be the task your druid is to accomplish. It's a cleansing of that which is unnatural that has leaked into the natural world.

Maybe there's a gibbering mouther in a cave; maybe some zombies were let into the forest by a traveling necromancer. Maybe a couple of shadows are causing trouble somewhere ...
