IS there a way to trade or gain a martial discipline?

I'm playing a Mystic and I want to get Thrashing Dragon for him, but the only way I have found so far is to use the Aurora archetype of MYstic, which isn't what I want...

I'm pretty sure that there was a feat for it, but I can't seem to find it again...

Joined that discipline's martial tradition. For Thrashing Dragon it is the Crashing Tempest Academy.

There is a trait as well, Unorthodox Method is a Regional Trait, lose a discipline and gain a different one. The cost is 1/2 a feat (Additional Traits which gives you 2 traits), or if your DM allows traits you can take 2 of them at 1st level but you can't take any more Regional trait since you can only have 1 Regional trait.

Yes, Ram covered the best options.

But for completeness sake, the feat you were thinking about is the Martial Training (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/alternative-rule-systems/path-of-war/feats/martial-training-i-combat/) feat tree.
