Sir Sean, like our sanity for many of us, has left departed this plane of existence and has moved on. I'll remember him fondly.

Or one of the actors who played him. Sean Connery passed away today at the age of 90 in the Bahamas, apparently having been unwell for some time. Everyone drink a martini today. Shaken and not stirred.

I shall always remember Sean Connery in that crazy flick Zardoz first, simply because it is so not James Bond.

Mad props to Sean, made immortal in Highlander, now passing into a legend of the silver screen.

RIP Allan Quartermain. I still can't believe that was his last role.

I take it you haven't seen Sir Billi? He had the title role.

The first movie I saw him in was Murder on the Orient Express. I think there were at least four or five others before I saw him play Bond (definitely The Wind and the Lion and The Man Who Would Be King, probably The Longest Day and A Bridge Too Far, maybe The First Great Train Robbery).

Jeeze, how many of his movies have I watched? *checks Wikipedia* 34, that I remember.

Oddly enough, when I broke the news to my coworkers this morning, none of them (all in their twenties) had any idea who Sean Connery even was. Now I feel sad and old.

I think the first role I've ever see Sean Connery in was Richard Lionheart in Kevin Costner's Robin Hood.

A great performance in a great movie.

Nah, I hear he's been building a law practice in New Mexico for the last five years.

And it worked because he believed it!

RIP King Arthur, the only man who ever successfully escaped from Alcatraz.

Actually, at least three (possibly five, and even seven depending on how you define "successfully escaped") people successfully escaped Alcatraz. But that's not a really catchy slogan so they don't advertise those numbers.

You're telling me a Jerry Bruckheimer movie was not 100% accurate with the source material?!?!??!

Yes, I know First Knight probably played a little fast and loose with early medieval English history too.
