Hi,

I will be running some forest encounters, using Dryads and treant. Also being an AoS player, do you know of any other treekind monsters maybe in style with the Kurneth Hunter?

Just so I do not have to create one from the bottom.

Thanks

What is your party's op level, class breakdown, and level? What encounter level do you want the encounter to be? What kind of terrain is it in? What books are available to you? Is this a pure combat encounter?

Yeah, lots more info needed.

But, in general, good luck to you! Hope you and your players have a good time!

Ok this deadly from 1st to 6th level.

Scene deer in a clearing eating grass. Neutral evil alignment.

Tree line above no spot check unless the player says they are looking up.

Spiders working with the deer descend. Entangle with webbing for surprise round. Deer can attack if needed or flee or keep eating. From 1 to 4 giant spiders.

Wood Woads (CR 4) and Thorns (CR 4), both from MM3, spring to mind.

As Durkon would say, "Tha Trees Be Attacking!"" is obviously the worst case scenario.

As stated above, more info would be nice, as it allows us to decide which (if any) of the normal Forest encounters would actually WANT to fight the group.

Topiary Guardians and Woodlings (both in MM3) could provide scalable options for forest encounters, and perhaps mesh well with dryads and treants.

Unapproachable East has the Volodni and the Blightspawned template.
