View Full Version : Does Haste grant an extra Attack action or just an extra attack,

Reading thru the Haste spell, it looks like they meant to say Haste can grant an extra attack action that only grants 1 attack. But, the spell doesn't say this.

What do you all think? It's an obvious typo, but what is the intent? Is it an extra attack action or just an extra attack?

What typo? It’s pretty clear to me: “...and it gains an additional action on each of its turns. That action can be used only to take the Attack (one weapon attack only), Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object action.”

Additional action that can be the Attack action is clearly stated.

The Haste spell let you use the Attack, Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object action, and if you use the Attack action you only get one additional melee attack.

So you get one more Attack action, but without the Extra Attack feature.

Weapon attack. It's not limited to melee.

And, being a weapon attack, it means you can't use it to throw or shoot a Magic Stone, though you can do it with any normal rock.

You're right, my bad.
