So I remembered that Tabula Rasa was coming out a few days previous, and learned that I had acquired the first three days of the live servers being free! So with that, I set off to try it out for one last time, from TR being basically unplayable for me in the Beta due to A)unbelievably hard it was, and B) the closed beta only had one day a week I could actually play the dang thing due to school and work.

So I downloaded the patch through PlayNC's downloader and fired up TR once again. And what did I find? Rapture.

No, not the city in Bioshock. Basically, all of the beta testing definitely worked, because hell, this game is awesome. There is actually stratification between the different classes now, the guns are balanced, the world is amazing, storyline rich, and everything is how it should be.

So I've picked it up, but I'm still somehow riding on that free "three days" that was promised for playing in the Beta; has anyone else picked this up? And what do you think?

The Escapist had a pretty good review:

That was for the Beta-much, much MUCH has improved since the beta; even the diehard beta testers were impressed by the live servers.

I will be picking it up, I ordered it from Amazon a few days ago. Hopefully it will come this week. No guarantees though.

I've heard some really good things, but there are also a few who has said that it is crap. I dunno who to believe.
