So it lets you change the damage type, but what about with Chaos Bolt? Can it be used on that spell to choose a specific dmg type?

What about using it on Ray of Sickness? What happens on the poisoned status effect it causes?

I don’t know about Chaos Bolt, especially because you can roll a damage type other than one for which Transmuted Spell qualifies for, but you can still poison with Ray of Sickness, and perhaps more absurdly, you can still ignite things with Fireball and Fire Bolt.
