:durkon: Is that blue scarf he's wearing an upgrade, or just a vestment suitable for conducting a wedding ceremony?

I hope he's keeping it. It looks good in my opinion.

Cheers Rollin.

I want one.

I'm guessing if Haley sees Durkon wearing it she'll insist it's "hot".

My guess is it's a Southern ceremonial vestment, possibly necessary for a legally-binding marriage in Azure City (or among AC refugees anyway).

Well, I hope he keeps it anyway. Very slimming (or maybe thats just because he's not wearing his shield as well).

Possibly, but I'd be inclined to argue it's a vestment specific to Thor and was always a part of Durkon's equipment- he just hasn't had to pull out the Cleric's Vestments because he hasn't been performing many ceremonies. At least, till now.

My father's a minister and he's used a stole or 2 in his time, though more recently he prefers sportcoats and jeans over the full robe when conducting Sunday morning service.

(Makes me wonder if plate armor is mandatory or optional for dwarven clerics when performing ceremonies. )

In this (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0305.html) comic, Durkon is wearing a robe, not a platemail.

My guess is it just belongs to Durkon's clerical outfit for official reasons. He's a cleric of Thor, why should he wear the thing if it is a southern tradition? It makes more sense to assume it is part of HIS tradition (he is a cleric after all).

Or, even more simple: He wanted to look somewhat more feastive for the marriage.

I hope this was meant to be funny, because it really is.

I'm guessing he just whipped out the Cleric Vestements for the wedding and that's the only thing that shows up.

And in Origin, we see that he is then promptly thrown his armor, then his hammer when he requests protection. Thankfully, he didn't use an axe. :smalleek:

So he only wears the armor for protection, since he's doing his duties in a robe prior to his mission/exile.

I wonder if it's a good idea to be wearing full plate armor on the deck of a rolling ship...

Well, if Rich is reading this thread, I'd just like to voice my approval for Durkon wearing the stole.
