The new Bladesinger is getting a lot of awareness right now for one reason only, the ability to replace an attack with a cantrip as part of Extra Attack.
Now this ability is really ground breaking in ways to play a Gish.
So instead of having every Gish going forward including Bladesinger level 6+, how about we make a feat that replicate that instead.
Eldritch Onslaught
Prerequisite: Extra Attack
* You learn a cantrip of your choice from that Wizards spell list.
* Whenever you take the Attack action on your turn, you can cast one of your cantrips in place of one of those attacks.
The only problem I see with this feat is that it can be interpreted to give Bladesinger the option of replace two attacks with cantrips with this feat, so if someone with better English skill would give it a go ...
Anyways what do you think?
