Unknown Armies (https://www.atlas-games.com/unknownarmies/#core) is a system I've heard about, a decent amount of times. I recently saw Anonymouswizard recommend it in the Best TTRPG (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?623250-Best-Tabletop-RPG) thread, so clearly it's got its likers.

Is it worth getting? Which books are needed for GMing? And are there any deals I'm missing that include a PDF with the hard copy?

I was in a year long campaign of second edition. It was great. Can't recommend it enough. (Probably my second favourite game after noblis) The only issue comes if someone plays the mage type who powers up by stealing. The game was not designed for an age where people carry £200 worth of iPhone around on them.

I can certainly say that the setting is fascinating and we had a ton of fun playing, but also because the GM was just fantastic. I can't actually comment much on the setting, since it was a one shot that became a three-shot and I never read most of the book.
