Holding item in stasis?

Hi all.

I was wondering if there were a way to hold an item in stasis, ready to be drawn/used when required?

Specifically, Smiting Spell says the spell expires after 1 minute. Is there something similar to a glove of storing, where you can keep a weapon with a Smiting Spell ready until it's required? Gloves of Storing specifically doesn't hold spell durations so I don't think it'll work.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "stasis".

If you mean temporally locked into a single state and unaffected by the passage of time, then you can cover it in quintessence and it'll be completely unaffected and frozen in time as long as its' covered.

That's pretty much it. However, Quintessence won't really be very wieldy in combat - can't really get a sword out and scrape it off at the beginning of an encounter.
