d&d 3.5 Darkvision and things to extend it

So what I am looking for is the longest possible range of darkvision.

Presume that I already have Darkvision 60ft. & I can not change the race, template's or class's involved.

what feats and or items can extend the range of darkvision

1st party is allowed, pathfinder & drag. mag are subject to a gm approval, 3rd party is banned

please give source and page

Step 1: Forget darkvision, get superior low-light vision.
Step 2: Cast celestial brilliance (BE) using a sunflower of Pelor (CC) as an additional component.
Step 3: See in the dark out to 960 feet.

This is still limited by spot checks, right?

Take the Planar Touchstone feat. Link to the Catalogues of Enlightenment (Planar Handbook p. 166), and the base ability gives you the domain power of a cleric domain of your choice. You do not need to actually visit the Catalogues to get the base ability. Choose the Baator domain (Spell Compendium p. 283). You can now see perfectly in darkness of any kind, out to any distance.

Technically, planar domains are not cleric domains, they're their own category.

A planar domain counts as both of a cleric’s domain choices
BAATOR DOMAIN
Requirement: Must be lawful evil.
Granted Power (Su): You gain the ability to see perfectly in darkness of any kind, even that created by a deeper darkness spell.
Add Bluff to your list of cleric class skills.

this could work

any other magic items that might extend the range of darkvision ?

Technically, planar domains are not cleric domains, they're their own category.

In the interests of pedantry: I don't see anything in the text of either the Planar Handbook or the Spell Compendium that says planar domains are not cleric domains. The best example I can find says:

"Unlike other domains, planar domains each have an alignment requirement that must be met by a cleric who wants to access the domain."

Based on this wording, it sounds like planar domains are a subset of cleric domains with special requirements.

A Hathran Mask of True Seeing (Unapproachable East, p56) lets you see any distance in both normal and magical darkness. It's a little steep at 75,000 gp, but when you factor in how you'll never be fooled by illusions, will always notice invisible creatures, and can ignore miss chances from Blur and similar effects, it's a good value, if you have the money.

Getting a friendly Wizard to cast Superior Darkvision (Unapproachable East, p53) on you is another way to see an unlimited range in the dark. It lasts an hour per level, so it might actually be a reasonable buff if you know you're headed into the underdark.

A Ring of Spelunking (Dragon 323, p88) doubles the range of your preexisting Darkvision. But it's 37,000 gp, almost half the cost of a Hathran Mask of True Seeing, and nowhere near half as good.

Where does it say that? All I can find is "they allow the wearer to view things with true seeing".

for 75,000 gp the Hathran Mask of True Seeing allow the wearer to view things with true seeing.

True Seeing
the ability to see all things as they actually are. The subject sees through normal and magical darkness, notices secret doors hidden by magic, sees the exact locations of creatures or objects under blur or displacement effects, sees invisible creatures or objects normally, sees through illusions, and sees the true form of polymorphed, changed, or transmuted things. Further, the subject can focus its vision to see into the Ethereal Plane (but not into extradimensional spaces). The range of true seeing conferred is 120 feet

well it is more than 60ft, and all the extras are acceptable for the price

But are there any item(s) that can get darkvision past 120ft ?

Yeah, sorry. I misremembered how True Seeing works. It's only within 120 feet.

The epic feat Improved Darkvision doubles its range and can be taken multiple times. Obviously you have to be level 21 barring dragonwrought kobold shenanigans or the like, and it's pretty weak for an epic feat, it wouldn't be unreasonable to allow it to be taken at nonepic levels in fact.

There's a whole bunch of ways to get darkvision listed here (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?454553), I'm not sure if any of them fit your criteria though.

the link is useful for things but it does not help extend past 120ft , looks like that shy of epic feat Improved Darkvision there is not good answer

The Night Sighted trait gives +10 feet to Darkvision range at the cost of a -1 penalty to Spot checks in bright light. Dragon 356 also has the Midnight Pupils trait, which gives +60 feet to Darkvision range at the cost of only being able to see through Darkvision.

Combine both of those with a +0 LA race with 120-foot Darkvision (dark dwarves from Dragonlance are the only ones that come to mind) and you're up to 190 feet. Add on the Ring of Spelunking to double it to 380 feet.

Or buy, let's say, 3 schemas of Superior Darkvision, and invest in Use Magic Device. ... Or if you don't need it all day every day, buy a wand and UMD that instead.

There's Fiend Sight (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/racial-feats/fiend-sight-tiefling/), but you said race can't be changed and that's a tiefling feat. Anyone know of a way to get around that prereq? If you take it twice you get see in darkness, like the Baator domain, so darkness is no longer a thing for you.

The Deep Vision feat from Complete Psionic works. It's on page 49, and it gives a 30 foot boost to a permanent source of while you're psionically focused. That probably ends up as two feats, though, since you're probably not a psionic race or class. It's also in Races of Stone on 137. I mention that for one reason.

If you also have a way of getting Turn Undead and some attempts per day, Races of Stone has Pierce the Darkness on 143. Spend one of your turn attempts and you double your darkvision range for character level in minutes. Together, those give a 180 foot darkvision, and thread's already given another range doubler to give you lots of feet of sight.
